MASSACRED RIGHTS
The consequences of the security decree become more apparent every day: a high number of people are refused reception and resident permits. The repressive perseverance is structural, directed not only against migrants but also against operators working in reception – often forced to work with a minimum of resources – and the forces of civil society that seek to contrast the inhumane politics of the government.

THE SITUATION OF WOMEN AND THEIR INVISIBILITY
One of the major risks of current migration policies are the growing invisibility of migrants, who are denied a dignified life in Italy: to live on the street, to be isolated and exploited become human conditions. The ones who are affected the most are vulnerable persons, who would need support: women, mostly fleeing gender-based violence do not receive adequate protection or victims of human trafficking forced to sexual exploitation, which victimizes them additionally in the hands of criminal organizations.

ANTIRACIST PROJECTS AND PRACTICES
The dismantling of the Sprar* system and the restricted access to other projects are part of a national wide attack on models of good reception – like Riace and Sutera – and projects that promote real integration and form an opposition against the repressive wave. On 5th of May the European campaign “The embrace of the peoples” made the resistance against inhumanity against migrants perceptible all over Europe. Cities like Palermo and Catania were involved in the campaign to say stop to racism and to advocate for the protection of the rights of all.
