The founder of Open Arms, Òscar Camps, has stated today that the journey to Barcellona by the Catalan NGO’s vessel after the closure of the Italian and Maltese ports “has cost us 4 days and 360 lives”.
In a press conference held after the ship’s arrival in the Catalan capital, Camps said that at the moment there are no NGO rescue ships off the Libyan Coast, claiming that over the past days “we have left 360 people to die”.
